Philippians 4:8-9

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32).

Many people remain in bondage to fears, anxieties, habits and problems simply because they do not know they can be free. I believe many sincere Christians are hampered, confused and struggling because:

- they are ignorant of the truth

- or worse - because they have believed the wrong thing

A well-settled life is not that difficult to obtain. It depends much on what we know to be true.
Richard Foster says, “The mind will always take on an order conforming to the order upon which it concentrates.”

What you choose to watch, study, read or meditate on will shape your mind. What you put into your brain cells determines the kind of habits that you form. A thought produces an action. An action produces a habit. And eventually, a habit forms a character!

This is why Paul urges us to focus on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and gracious.

If you feel like your life is unstable, crazy like a roller-coaster, upside down,  or just plain DOWN, take a careful look at what you have focused your mind on.
