WE REAP WHAT WE SOW :

Scripture:

Galatians 6:7
New International Version (NIV)

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

One of the landmines destroying Christians is Satan's lie that choices have no consequences. The truth is, we are free to choose our actions but we are not free to choose the consequences. It may not always be immediate, but it will eventually catch up with us. But if we stay close to Jesus and follow Him, we can safely navigate through life and make choices that would protect us from harm.

DO NOT BE DECEIVE :

Scripture :

Galatians 6:8
New International Version (NIV)

8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

All of us have appetites which are not necessarily wrong. Nonetheless , appetites can be so distorted by sin. If we let our choices be governed by it, the Bible says we are going to reap corruption. Slowly but surely we are destroying ourselves and our souls. On the contrary, the Bible says that if we sow to the Spirit and listen to the Spirit of God, we will reap the good quality of life God promises His people. If we constantly choose to follow Christ, we will also be growing into being more like Him.
We should also be not be deceived that God's forgiveness necessarily cancels the consequences of our choices. It is true what when come to God , we will be forgiven. But the consequences of our actions may remain.

ESAU AND JACOB:(Genesis 25 - 26)

The story of Esau and Jacob teaches us that wrong choices have consequences.

When Esau was famished from hunting in the field , exhausted and starving to death, he traded to Jacob his birthright and his future for a cheap bowl of soup. Not only do he lose his birthright he lost the privilege to be identified with the God of his fathers who the Bible describes as "the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob" (Matthew 22: 32)

Jacob, on the other hand , also made wrong choices when he was younger. He deceived his by father by pretending to be Esau to receive his father's blessings . Later , he too was deceived by Laban (Genesis 29). He reaped what he sowed . But unlike Esau, Jacob changed and repented He realized that real blessings do not come from manipulation but from God.

Life IS ABOUT CHOICES:

Life is about choices . If You already made a wrong choices. It is never too late to turn to Jesus.

Choose to follow Jesus with a repentant heart. and let Him take care of your future. If you are already making Godly choices and see no results, do not lose heart . Keep sowing what God wants you to do.

God is a rewarded and he keeps His word. He will bless you in due time.

Scripture:

Galatians 6:9
New International Version (NIV)

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
