Main Title : Failure - Final? Fatal?

Scripture :
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
New International Version (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Most great achievers in our world have failed at least once. Most strong-willed people have failed often. Many super-intelligent people have been misguided at times.
It's life! We all have failures in our past. And we like to focus on the fact that we move on and keep trying. That’s true…
But failure should not be taken lightly. A failure can set you back, cost you dearly, mess up your program. We truly should try to succeed rather than fail.
But when - not if - we do fail, it’s not final, and it’s not usually fatal.
Those of us who are kind of obsessive-compulsive find failure painful because it means we’re not perfect. The lazy person who fails will find someone else to blame. The strong-willed person will often ignores failure. The realist, however, understands that there is actually a need for failure.
“Why?” you ask in shock. Because it’s not until something goes wrong that we ask questions. Success can be so blinding. Often, it clouds our vision to our own inconsistencies, biases and arrogance.
Failure puts us in touch with reality. It can be an opportunity to learn.
Failure is not final if you will not learn from it. Open your life to God in your times of failure. Do a heart checkup. Assess your attitude. Ask God if this moment is a teaching lesson for you.
It’s not final, and it’s not fatal. Let failure be your growing point.
